Requirements
  • To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
  • Be a first-year university entrant between the ages of 18 – 24 years and a Jamaican citizen.
  • Be registered as a full-time student with confirmation via Letter of Acceptance from an accredited local institution.
  • Show proof of volunteerism at school, church, service club or community.
  • Demonstrate financial need based on household income.

Requirements
  • To qualify for a tertiary grant, applicants must:
  • Be a Jamaican citizen not older than thirty (30) years old at the time of application.
  • Be registered as a full-time student at an accredited local institution enrolled in a digital area of study.
  • Show history of volunteerism the school, church, service club or community. Demonstrate financial need based on household income.

Requirements
  • Applicant must be a Jamaican Citizen.
  • Be a client of any Sagicor Group Jamaica subsidiaries (Sagicor Life, Sagicor Bank, Sagicor Investments) or the child of a client.
  • Maintain full-time student status during the length of the programme.
  • Demonstrate a financial need
  • Demonstrate high academic performance (GPA, CXC, CAPE etc.)
  • Show strong leadership traits and spirit of volunteerism and involvement (eg. Membership in an established youth club, Involvement in a service club, Voluntary community service or school involvement)
  • Scholarships are renewable annually up to a maximum of four years. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete 20 hours of voluntary service annually

Requirements

All applicants must have an active VMBS account.

  • A letter of recommendation from the candidate’s school certifying that the candidate is a student of that school and stating the grades or copy of last two (2) end of year reports.
  • Letter of acceptance from the institution where the candidate is expected to pursue further studies.
  • A typed (double-spaced/letter-size) three to five hundred (300-500) word essay on : 'Why I chose STEM'
  • Certified copy of the CSEC and/or GCE O’ Level/ CAPE examinations results.

Requirements
  • Must be accepted to commence tertiary studies in September 2025 at a recognized university/college in Jamaica.
  • Must have at least an 85% or B+ average or 3.0 GPA.
  • Each applicant must provide copies of their CAPE and/or CSEC results.
  • Must submit an essay not exceeding 500 words outlining why they should be awarded the scholarship.
  • Must be involved in at least two (2) extracurricular or community activities
