Vertis Technology Solutions Limited, an IT service and solutions company which promotes the development of innovation within Jamaica's IT industry, has partnered with the Institute in offering work-study opportunities to students pursuing the Software Development and Computer Systems Technology programmes at Vector.

This initiative was launched to bridge the experiential gap between new graduates and performing employees with necessary work-readiness attributes. The partnership is in the form of a "for-credit" internship that allows students to earn academic credit even while gaining valuable IT experience. As a result of the partnership, students will be exposed to the many areas of IT services such as Network Security and Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Cloud Services, and Application Development.

In emphasizing its commitment, Vertis Technology's COO, Cameille Sterling stated, "We are honoured to partner with Vector Technology Institute to provide an opportunity for the future technology leaders of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean to hone their skills. We believe that given the opportunity these students will contribute to the success of the technology industry."

Vector Technology Institute and Vertis Technology Solutions Limited look forward to a partnership that will contribute to the growth of Jamaica's IT landscape through the production of well educated and highly trained IT specialists..
