This programme focuses on the knowledge and practical knowledge required to develop and design a website. Students will be introduced to frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The use of these technologies will allow students to develop websites that are visually appealing and dynamic in nature. Concepts of writing valid HTML and CSS are paired with best practices to ensure students can implement your designs effectively and accurately. Through an introduction to JavaScript and jQuery, students will explore adding simple interactivity and forms to their websites.

Entry Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 CXC subjects at the prescribed levels, or recognized   vocational qualification or professional certifications eg. HEART, NCTVET, City & Guilds, etc. Candidates with credentials that exceed CXC qualifications may also be granted acceptance into the programme.
  • In addition, candidates must be computer literate. Therefore, all applicants MUST sit an entrance computer literacy test.

Acceptance into the programme is subject to the conditions governing matriculation requirements of the College Policy.

All candidates MUST be computer literate and have access to a computer and the internet.
